Rebellious Chains

The Rebellious Chains were inspired by my own artistic journey towards jewellery. My intention was to allow the chain to escape and to reinterpret its expected purpose. The original assumption regarding traditional chains is that they are usually subservient to the main jewel, therefore, I transformed ordinary chains, still respecting their original values but enabling them to achieve jewellery status on their own, not just in a subordinated role. The work symbolises the process of changing identity and represents how the chain starts to form its own pattern instead of the baseline function it used to have or what was expected of it.
